今天來談談"pick up"這個片語。 "Pick up" 最常見的兩個用法是： 1.撿起來，例如："Pick up your toys." (把玩具撿起來。) 2. 接送的接，例如："I will pick you up at the airport." (我會到機場接你。) 除此以外，還有其他的用法： 收拾："Mary is picking up the room." 最近有一則消息，中式英文 "add oil" (加油) 被收錄到牛津字典，真是有趣。 我們可以說，"Add oil! You can do it." (加油! 你一定能辦到) 為人加油，還可以用 "root for" ， 比如說，"I will root for you." (我會為你加油)。 既然講到油這個字，我們就來學習和油有關的字詞。 olive oil (橄欖油) cod liver oil (魚肝油) baby oil (嬰兒潤滑油) oil painting (油畫) oily (含油的；油膩的) ----> 同義字: greasy oily skin (油性皮膚)
